Violin Studio: About Hannah

may 2015

Welcome to my studio! I am excited you are about to begin this violin journey, and am looking forward to working alongside you.

I’m Hannah—a violinist and teacher in the Lilburn, GA area. My violin story officially began the Christmas of 2004 when I received my first violin. I started lessons in January of 2005, not knowing anything about violin or how my life would be shaped because of this little wooden instrument. This violin journey has given me many unique opportunities, and some of my closest friends have come from the music community.

As I write this 10 and a half years after my first violin lesson, I realize that playing the violin has taught me more than how to read music or how to hold the bow. Violin has shaped my character, my view on difficult trials, and even the way I approach situations.

I received my Suzuki Teacher Certification in 2014 and have created my own teaching method that is customizable to each student’s learning style. I have taught a variety of ages—from 4 years old to High School students—and I enjoy helping my students overcome challenges and fall in love with creating music.

For me, music is a way to relax, to be creative, and to build friendships. I can’t imagine my life without violin and I look forward to creating music for many years to come!
